Hand Strengths
Here we present the list of poker hands. The common poker deck has 52 cards and they are ranked from two to Ace. The suits in poker don’t matter, that means that two cards of the same rank and with different suits are counted to be equal.
The common poker hand in most of the poker variations (except 3-card poker and Pai Gow) is made up of five cards. Study the poker hand strength of all poker hands from the strongest to weakest. Don’t forget that in the hands or the same value the individual cards indicate what hand is better one.

Cash Games
Cash - or ring - games are the most exhilarating forms of playing poker. You play with direct stakes, meaning that the value written on each chip corresponds to the chip's value in real - or play - money. Every hand is a game in itself, and you can sit down and leave the table whenever you like. There is always a game available for you at BrucePoker.comMore.....
Texas Hold’em
Texas Hold’em is a community card game, meaning that some cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table and shared by all players. Each player is dealt two pocket or hole cards which they consider with the five community cards to make the best possible five-card hand. The person who is dealt last is regarded as the dealer and as such is marked with a dealer button. At the end of the hand the button is passed clockwise to the next player.More.....
Omaha
Omaha is a poker game derived from Texas Hold’em. Each player is dealt four cards ('hole cards'), which belong only to that player. Five community cards are dealt face-up on the 'board'. All players use three of the five community cards together with two of their hole cards to make the best five-card poker hand.More.....
Omaha Hi Lo
In this game the player with the best five-card hand for high wins half the pot, and the player with the best hand for low wins the other half. In Omaha, players must use two and only two of their four hole cards in combination with three cards from the board. In the event of identical hands, the high and low shares of the pot will be equally divided between the players with the best hands. In the event that no hand qualifies for low, the best hand(s) for high wins the pot.More.....
Stud
In Seven Card Stud, players are dealt seven cards throughout the course of the hand, but only the best five-card hand possible for each player is used to determine the winner. Before a game of Seven Card Stud starts, all players ante a nominal amount (for example, $1 in a $10-$20 game). Each player is dealt two hidden hole cards and one exposed card. The player with the lowest exposed card is the ‘bring-in’, and is forced to make a wager of either a half a small bet or a full small bet (for example, either $1 or $2 in a $2/$4 game). Action continues clockwise around the table until betting is complete for the round. In the unlikely event that all eight players are still in the hand on the river, the total number of cards needed for all the players to receive their own card would not be available in a standard deck of cards. In this case, the river card is dealt face up on the table and it will be used as a community card.More.....
Stud Hi Lo
7 Card Stud Hi Lo follows the same pattern as Seven Card Stud with the difference coming at the showdown where the player with the best five-card hand for high wins half the pot, and the player with the best hand for low wins the other half. In the event that no hand qualifies for low, the best hand(s) for high wins the pot.More.....
Rake Structure
The rake is an amount of money taken by the house from all players as a payment to play at the table. In order to make the game more realistic, this rule applies regardless of whether or not real money is used. However, if there is no flop, or if Fourth Street in stud games is not reached, no rake will be taken from the pot (thanks to our ‘no-flop-no-drop’ policy).Below you will find the BrucePoker.com rake structure calculator. The structure is based on stake level. The maximum rake is based on the number of players.
